Child Sexual Exploitation Support for Parents & Carers Goes On-Line

Sexual exploitation affects thousands of children and young people across the UK every year. As a parent or carer, you could have an important role to play in protecting children from exploitation and the Council wants to ensure that you are supported to do this.

The website has important information and advice and how to identify and respond to suspected sexual exploitation as well as information on local and national support services for families going through suspected or actual sexual exploitation.

Welcome from the Headteacher

Ms Deery, Headteacher

Welcome to the website for The Royal Liberty School.

This 11-16 comprehensive school for boys is committed to achieving high standards for all its students. Our expectations of students are high in terms of academic achievement and personal behaviour.

As a relatively small secondary school we believe that we have the opportunity to know each of our students as individuals. Respect for other people is one of our core values and this contributes to a strong school community.

Students here are encouraged to take on leadership roles and responsibilities from an early age. We have a strong programme of extra-curricular activities and expect our students to make a positive contribution to school life.

With recent examination results above the national average and good Ofsted reports school building we offer an excellent education for boys of all interests and abilities.

You are welcome to visit our school on Open Day in the Autumn Term.

You are also welcome to arrange to visit the school outside of this time by contacting the school office.

Mrs Julia Deery

News and Events

This time of year is always hectic with fixtures and competitions! As we try to make up for the time lost to the weather the boys have had to demonstrate commitment and dedication to their teams but also a quick recovery time as the next game is never too far away!

RLS boys

The years 9ís have been the stars of this term. Winning 3 of their 4 Havering league football matches, this has seen them finish 3rd in a tough league and narrowly miss out on a semi-final place. Ben Millerís 5 goals in the 4 matches have seen him selected for the Havering district football team.

The year 9 rugby team also enjoyed a 34-20 victory over Emerson park in the build up to the Havering cup with tries from Nathaniel Nelson 2, Robert Leeper 2, Ben Miller and Aaron Bennett. RLS boys 2

The year 7 football team secured their first victory! A fine 4-0 victory against Sanders Draper, goals coming from Owen Eyles 3 and one from Harry Tuvey. I am confident that this team will achieve great things in year 8. The year 10 football team bounced back from a disappointing defeat to Coopers to beat Bower park 3-1 with a brace from Charlie Bacon and well placed 20 yard strike from Harry Marsh.

A strong team went to the Lee Valley Athletics centre to compete at the National Junior Indoor Rowing Competition (NJIRC) yet again there were some strong performances particularly from Seb Adams 18th, Eko Ohakosim 39th, Daniel Hitchings 44th and Nathaniel Nelson 56th. Schools and Rowing clubs travel from all over the country to be at this event so this is a huge achievement from the boys.

After the Easter holidays the posts go away and the cricket nets come out! We will also be looking to recreate the spirit of London 2012!
